Encompassing a myriad of art forms such as DANCE, CINEMATOGRAPHY, MUSIC, SET DESIGN, SCRIPT WRITING AND EDITING, Hole Dance Films work lends itself to a wide range of audiences. Our dance films are grounded in a mulch-disciplinary approach where we continue to play with new story-telling techniques – stories illustrated through movement.
Hole Dance Films is a program of Dancers’ Workshop, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Founded by Carrie Richer and Kate W. Kosharek, it is a unique production company that specialized in dance film. Hole Dance Films makes work for the screen as well as live dance and screen performance work.
Hole Dance Films’ philosophy is to guide the audience to view and understand dance by capturing everyday human activity through choreography. Each production explores both movement and place, featuring dances within a wide spectrum of environments.
Hole Dance Films has produced several short films that have been selected by both national and international film festivals to screen. HDF strives to gain exposure for screen dance and the innovative use of media within the arts in the Jackson community and beyond!
